Iris Muscarella, Master's Counseling Intern Supervised by Lori Martin, MS, LPC-S

She/Her

Hello! I'm Iris, a graduate student at the University of North Texas, on the path to completing my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Currently, I am gaining valuable experience as an intern under the guidance of Lori Martin, MS, LPC-S. I will be offering individual, relationship, and group counseling.

My expertise lies in supporting adult clients facing challenges such as anxiety, interpersonal relationship issues, depression, stress management, and trauma processing. Additionally, I specialize in working with non-traditional clients, including sex workers, LGBTQIA2+, kink, and those embracing non-monogamous/non-traditional romantic orientations.

As someone who identifies as a CNM (consensually non-monogamous), LGBTQIA2+, and kink aligned counselor in training, I bring a unique perspective to my practice. Beyond my counseling role, I am an accomplished educator and speaker, presenting at numerous polyamory and kink conferences and podcasts.

In my therapeutic approach, I draw from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), empowering you as the expert of your own life. Together, we will collaborate on setting goals, devising plans to achieve them, and cultivating healthier thought patterns and actions. I am dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive space for your personal growth and well-being.
