My name is Naya Turner, and I am a Master's Counseling Intern specializing in Play Therapy. I am under the supervision of Lori Martin, MS. LPC-S
I graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. I am currently in my final year of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling master’s program at the University of North Texas.
I have experience working with children and adults, and also five years of experience as an assistant preschool teacher. I am passionate about working with diverse individuals, children, and families, and strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
When working with clients across the lifespan, I use an Adlerian approach that focuses on understanding life experiences, relationships, and personal growth in a collaborative and goal-oriented way. In play therapy my goal is to support children in expressing themselves and processing emotions in a play centered environment.
