Rachael Tillerson, MA, LPC
I received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Religion and a Master’s degree in Family Psychology at Hardin Simmons University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.
I use a holistic approach meaning I look at the biological, social, psychological, and spiritual components of each individual. The therapeutic approach used will depend on each individual’s needs, preferences, and current situation. I work with individuals 12 years old and up (adolescents/adults). My experience includes individual, couples, group, and family therapy in the areas of trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, self-injurious behaviors, self-esteem, abandonment, and relationship issues.
I am dedicated to helping parents/caregivers understand their adolescent for improved communication and trust. I utilize play therapy, art therapy, cognitive behavioral, and experiential therapy to expand each individual's ability to understand and express their feelings in a safe, nonjudgmental space. Other experience includes providing chemical dependency evaluations and psychological evaluations.
